Women in Science? BHO Welcomes a Star!
Someone forgot to tell our new Observer that women can’t have a career in science. Meet our new Observer, Cecilia Borries-Strigle. Cece joined the Observatory staff nine months ago and has already become so proficient at her job that she was recently named “Chief Observer” by the Observatory’s Board of Directors.
Cece, who holds a degree in physics and a Masters in Atmospheric Science, is a true lover of weather, and a perfect match for the harsh conditions that she records at Blue Hill Observatory. While math and science are her strengths, she is also an engaging teacher who loves to meet young students and help them appreciate the wonderful world of weather.
