BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

COLD AND DRY WITH PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES
AND GREAT VISIBILITY….

Wind from the west was the main feature of today,
as the rest was to be expected of a late fall
day. The average speed was above 20 mph, with
the max gust being almost 40 mph. Visibility
was great today, being 80 miles on average.
Pressure is on the rise, definitely signaling
an air mass change. Conditions are on the dry
side, with dew points in the single digits.

Significant cold air advection from the west is
having quite the effect on temperature.
The high so far today is 32F, 18 degrees below the
daily normal high of 50F. The low since midnight
is 25F, 8 degrees below the normal low of 33F.
