DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A STRONG WESTERLY WIND AND
INCREASING VISIBILITY….

Today we observed partly cloudy conditions, clearing
up following noontime. This may be due to the steady
pressure increase since the early morning hours.
Visibility was limited to 25 miles earlier on due
to a distant haze, but has since increased to 70 miles.
Wind is strong today, with frequent gusts topping 50 mph.
The highest gust seen today is 57 mph.

Yesterdays’ low temperature is 45 degrees, which is
a new record high minimum for the date. The previous
record is 41 degrees in 1921. Yesterdays’ high reached
64 degrees, this ties the record high for the date,
previously set in 1991.

The high so far today is 47F degrees, this is 6 degrees
above the normal high of 41F. The low since midnight is 41F,
18 degrees above the normal low of 23F.
