ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

MORE THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON,
MISSING US SO FAR….

Clouds continue to be the theme today with periods of
very light rain at times. Building cumulus clouds were
seen this morning, becoming cumulonimbus around 1 P.M.
Wind has been light all day, barely exceeding 10 mph
on average. Thunder was heard following the 1 P.M.
observation, with some lightning strikes being seen
to the northwest. Significant rainfall has not
reached the observatory, while there are many areas
of rainfall being seen in the distance.

The high so far today is 76 degrees, this is 3 degrees
below the daily normal high of 79F. The low since midnight
is 63F, which is 2 degrees above the daily normal low of
61F.

Rainfall for the month is now up to 7.56″, which has now
set a surplus for the month of 3.25″. The yearly deficit
is now erased, going from near -4 inches 3 days ago to
to +0.38″ as of 7 A.M. this morning. Impressive in such
a short time! – Matthew Douglas
