SOME OVERNIGHT RAINFALL….
We observed fog throughout the day, limiting visibility
to 5 miles at 7 A.M. and 35 miles at 1 P.M. Rain overnight
left 0.26 inches in the gauge at 7 A.M. Ponds are completely
devoid of ice, with temperatures remaining above freezing
for the past few days.
Something of note about the monthly snowfall is that the
observatory is a foot under normal. On the season, we
are -20.8 inches below normal. We are also on track for
one of the warmest winters on record, with the average
temperature for this season being around 34F. Based on the
NWS averaging method, the normal winter mean temperature
is 28.2F.
The high so far today is 45F degrees, this is 6 degrees
above the normal of 39F. The low since midnight is 39F,
18 degrees above the normal daily minimum of 21F.
