ANOTHER CLOUDY AND CHILLY DAY ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….
Skies have once again been mainly cloudy today as a weak
disturbance passes over the region. Even some snow showers
have been occurring off and on since late this morning, but
they are not amounting to anything, just flakes in the air.
A mainly light northwesterly breeze has been occurring,
occasionally getting a bit gusty into the 20-25 mph range.
The peak gust so far today is 25 mph.
Visibility has been excellent today, running between 70 and 80
miles.
We continue to expand our rain and snowfall deficits for the
month. The rainfall total is 1.46 inches, 2.34 inches below
the average rain total. Snowfall for this month is considerably
low, amounting to only 4.2 inches. That is 10.8 inches below
the normal monthly snowfall total.
The high so far today is 37F, 3 degrees above the normal high
of 34F. The low since midnight is 31F, 14 degrees above the
normal low of 17F.
