The arrival of a new Arctic air mass late yesterday and
last night resulted in a 36-degree temperature drop in
less than 24 hours. A maximum of 45F was recorded around
10 A.M. Monday with the temperature dropping to 23 degrees
early last evening then on down to 17 degrees by midnight
finally bottoming out at 9 degrees this morning.
A new daily snowfall record has been confirmed for 21 January
at 9.0 inches.

NE-ESE, distant layer of altostratus, cirrostratus extending from
