MONDAY SNOW STORM TOTALS 8.7 INCHES ON GREAT BLUE HILL,
SNOW AND SHOWERS END THIS MORNING

Snow fell steadily yesterday, though never at a heavy rate
at any part during the day. By yesterday’s 1:00 PM EST observation,
4.3 inches had fallen over a 6 hour period, while an additional
4.4 inches of snow fell over roughly the same time period from
1:00 to 7:00 PM EST.

Light powdery snow that fell yesterday drifting during yesterday’s
high winds, allowing some snow to compact or blow off the summit of
Great Blue Hill. Snow on the ground at this morning’s 7:00 AM EST
observation was 12 inches.

By this afternoon’s 1:00 PM EST observation very light snow showers
were in progress, leaving just a trace of new precipitation. Temperatures
had climbed slowly to a maximum reading so far of 25F.

thin fog in all directions
