SUNNY START, THEN INCREASING CLOUD COVER, CHILLIER TODAY…
We started the day with brilliant sunshine, but cold and
blustery conditions. As the day wore on, clouds invaded
the sky from both the east (low clouds) and from the west
(high clouds). As such, this afternoon has been a mainly
cloudy affair.
Temperatures didn’t warm too much today with the high
only getting into the low 30s.
The wind was busy this morning out of the north-northeast,
but gradually diminished by late morning. Wind has been
down right light this afternoon as it gradually veers
to more of a southeasterly direction. The average speed
for the day is around 9mph.
Visibility started off excellent with 70-80 miles being seen.
But as the moisture content of the air increased this
afternoon, it slipped back to around 60 miles.
The high so far today is 31F degrees, which is 5 degrees
below the normal maximum of 36F. The low since midnight is
22F degrees, which is 4 degrees above the normal minimum
of 18F.
