DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
CLOUDS, RAIN, AND FOG DOMINATE THE DAY HERE AT BLUE HILL…
Another dreary day here with dense fog as well as periods
of drizzle and light rain. Rainfall for 24 hours ending at
7 A.M. totaled 0.13″, an additional 0.08″ had fallen by
the 1 P.M. observation.
Visibility has been generally between 1/4 and 1/8 of a mile
in dense fog, but has dipped as low as 1/16 of a mile for a
time.
Contrary to yesterday, there hasn’t been much of any wind to
speak of today, generally hanging out under 10 mph. We did
manage a brief gust to 23 mph around 10:38 A.M that seem to
come out of no where relative to the rest of the day.

high of 36F. The low since midnight is 37F, 19 degrees
above the normal low of 18F.
