DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2015
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

NOVEMBER COMES TO AN END, SIGNIFICANTLY DRIER
THAN NORMAL AND SEVENTH WARMEST ON RECORD

The month came to a close overnight with temperatures
dipping to a low of 30F. Clouds have filtered in from the south
this morning ahead of showers forecasted for this afternoon.

By the 1:00 PM EST observation a brief rain shower had brought
a trace of new rain, with rain showers visible to the W. Skies
had darkened with a thick overcast of altostratus overspreading
the region.

November precipitation was well below normal, with a 2.18 inch
deficit. Another dry month has added to the annual deficit
with now stands at 9.12 inches below normal. A trace of snow
that fell on the last day of the month was not enough to reverse
the small snow deficit for the month of 2.3 inches below normal
and 2.6 inches below normal for the season.

November 2015 also made the top ten warmest Novembers on
record here at BHO, with a 24-hour corrected average monthly
temperature of 46.1F, making it the 7th warmest November since
records began in 1885.
