MORNING COLD FRONT BRINGS RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS
Winds this morning peaked at 53 MPH at 5:33 AM EST
ahead of a cold front. Rain showers started late
this morning equaling 0.06 ins. by the 10:00 AM EST
observation. A maximum temperature of 59F was
recorded at 8:00 AM EST, +4 degrees above normal.
After the passage of the cold front, winds shifted
from south to west. Precipitation totaled 0.29 ins.,
and temperature had also dropped to 49F by the
1:00 PM EST observation.
Today marks the last day for Chief Observer Brian
Fitzgerald who will return to work at the Mount Washington
Observatory- this time as their Director of Education.
