BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

DRY CONDITIONS CONTINUE AND CLOUDS INCREASE AFTER
A SUNNY MORNING…

We had a wind shift yesterday around 2:00 P.M.
from being light and from the north to stronger and
from the S/SSW. Wind continued to be from the SSW
today and this caused temperatures to be closer to
seasonable on Great Blue Hill with a high of 69F so
far today. This is 4 degrees from the daily normal of
73F. The day began with partly sunny skies but as the
pressure began to decrease we had an increase in cloud
cover today.
Humidity was high overnight but has dropped during the
day today. This allowed for visibility to increase from
40 miles to 60 miles by 10:00 A.M but a lingering distant
haze obscured visibility back to 40 miles at 1:00 P.M.
