ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
FOGGY, RAINY START GIVES WAY TO SPLASHES OF SUN
AND NEAR PERFECT VISIBILITY…
Today began with light rain and thick fog. Overnight
rainfall of 0.58 inches was greatly needed to chip away
at our deficit. This was our largest 24hr precipitation
event since December 31, 2019! We added another 0.16 inches
by 10AM, bringing the storm total to 0.74 inches. Fog thinned
out just before the 10AM observation yielding an
increasing ceiling and improved visibility. By 1PM,
Mount Monadnock in southwestern New Hampshire was clearly
spotted indicating near perfect visibility! A broken cloud
deck has existed for much of the day allowing for some
splashes of sun to poke through.
Also of note is the wind. Winds began to increase out
of the southwest topping out at 45 MPH so far. This spiked
our temperature to 49 degrees before falling and switching
around to the west.
All in all, a very changeable weather day here!
The high so far today is 49F degrees, this is 9 degrees
above the normal of 40F. The low since midnight is 40F,
18 degrees above the normal daily minimum of 22F.
