PRECIPITATION…
The day began with a wintery mix of precipitation.
We observed light rain, light snow and sleet
ending around 10:30 A.M. this morning EST. Light
rain began during the 1:00 P.M. observation and
has continued on and off throughout the afternoon.
So far we have measured a trace of frozen
precipitation and 0.19 ins of liquid precipitation.
Temperature remain below seasonable with a chilly
high so far of 39F today. This is 18 degrees below
the daily normal of 57F. We reached our daily low
so far of 34F between 7 and 8 this morning. This
is 5 degrees below the daily normal of 39F. So
far April is running about 4.4 degrees below
average for temperature.
Visibility was limited in the morning due to fog
and light falling snow/ice. The skies opened in the
afternoon after the snow showers passed and we could
see 60 miles by 1:00 P.M.
