RAIN AND WIND WITH A TOTAL OF OVER THREE-QUARTERS OF AN
INCH AND ESE WINDS GUSTING TO ALMOST 50 MPH BEFORE NOON
TEMP. EQUALS 54 DEGREE RECORD JUST AFTER 1 P.M.
PEAK WIND GUST 55 MPH SSE AT 1:16 P.M.
The temperature rose from 38 degrees very early this morning
to the low 50’s by noon and was approaching today’s record high
maximum of 54 degrees set in 2000. Increasing ESE winds were
reaching speeds well past 40 MPH and our new Aerovane had
peak gust of 48 MPH ESE while the same was recorded on the
ASOS system. Rainfall was light to moderate and then heavy with
0.34 falling in the hour ending at noon. The daily total has now
exceeded 0.75 inch.
