QUITE THE RAPID TURNAROUND TODAY, FROM THE ARCTIC BLAST YESTERDAY…
Weather is pretty amazing! After a brutal blast from the
arctic yesterday, today we have gone the other way with
rapidly warming temperatures. As a matter of fact, the
high so far today is 62 degrees warmer than the low early
yesterday morning!
Clouds have been the theme today with varying amounts of
thickness. This morning the mid and high level clouds
were thin and broken enough to allow for a decent period
of sunshine. However, as we move through the afternoon,
clouds have thickened to the point where the sun is only
dimly visible.
Regardless, temperatures have warmed nicely into the upper
40s this afternoon. Compared to yesterday, this is much more
enjoyable, but the gusty wind is definitely adding a chill
to the air. The average wind speed for the day is around
18mph with frequent gusts over 30mph out of the southwest.
The high so far today is 48F degrees, which is 13 degrees
above the normal maximum of 35F. The low since midnight is
14F degrees, which is 4 degrees below the normal minimum
of 18F.
