BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2016
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
A CHILLY START GIVES WAY TO ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES
While temperatures didn’t drop as low as the previous
night, below freezing temperatures from early this
morning had given way to temperatures in the 40s by the
10 o’clock observation.
Cloudy skies in the morning gave way to thin cirrostratus
and began to clear before the 1 o’clock observation. Highs
have gotten up into the 50s and the sun is having no trouble
shining through the thin clouds this afternoon.
With just 2 weeks until daylight savings time, we can expect
the sun to grow stronger everyday as temperatures slowly
begin to warm up as we move towards Spring.
