WARM TEMPERATURES AND HIGH DEW POINTS
Yesterday’s average temperature was 7F above normal for this
time of year, and so far, today’s temperatures have also been
higher than normal. Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 88F.
The temperature dropped down to only 71F overnight, and it has
risen to a maximum of 86F by the 1:00 P.M. EST observation today.
Dew points are continuing to be high in the upper 60s to lower
70s. Visibility has been poor for most of the day due to the
humidity. This morning, thin fog reduced visibility to just 15
miles, but it cleared to 40 miles by the afternoon. Winds have
been lower today out of south and southwest. Yesterday’s peak
gust was 26 MPH out of the south at 1:51 P.M., and so far today
the peak has been 16 MPH out of the southwest at 12:58 P.M.
