BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA
SATURDAY, AUGUST 8, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
A DRY DAY WITH VERY FEW CLOUDS IN THE AFTERNOON….
Today was fair, with the humidity dipping down to
35% by the 1 P.M. observation. We started off
mostly cloudy, but skies cleared up significantly
as the day went on. Wind has been light and
northeasterly, making for a cool ocean breeze in
conjunction with a dryer than normal summer day.
Pressure was on the rise this morning, but has
began to drop off slightly since 11 A.M. Visibility
also reached 70 miles, which is much more than
what the visibility has been in the preceding
days. Great day for a tour! We’re open until 4 P.M.
The high so far today is 83F, which is 3 degrees
below the daily normal high of 80F. The low since
midnight is 64F, which is a degree above the
daily normal low of 63F.
