BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SATURDAY, APRIL 16, 2016
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

VERY DRY CONDITIONS WITH A MOSTLY CLEAR SKY TODAY…

A brisk wind is providing a chilly feel today despite
the temperature rising from a low of 39 to the low
50s early this afternoon.  There has also been full
sunshine all day with only high thin cirrus clouds
covering part of the sky.  A few distant cumulus to
the southeast were one sign of a storm swirling far
out over the ocean. The other sign is the brisk wind
today with frequent gusts over 30 mph from the NNE
and NW. The dew point climbed from the teens to the
upper 20s today, which kep the relative humidity
near 40% much of the day.  A brush fire was visible
for a time earlier this afternoon about 8 miles
to the west of the Observatory.
