MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

MODERATE TO STRONG WIND GUST FROM THE SOUTH BRINGS
HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID CONDITIONS TO GREAT BLUE HILL…

Temperatures continue to be above normal today with a max
of 83F so far. This is 7 degrees above the daily normal of
76F. The wind shifted to coming from the south overnight, this
brought a haze to the area which became thicker as dew points
increased today. This obscured visibility to 25 miles for most
of the day, with the best visibility early this morning at 35
miles.
Compared to the dry air yesterday humidity and dew points have
remained high all day making for poor air quality this afternoon.
The wind increased today as pressure dropped throughout the day.
So far today we have had a peak gust of 26 kts (30 MPH) by
1:00 P.M. Cloud cover also increased with the drop in pressure
and skies were overcast by 1:00 P.M.
