DRY WEATHER HANGS AROUND…

After a raw, chilly and wet stretch earlier this week, we have
lined up our 2nd consecutive dry day. Sunshine was
plentiful under a gentle NE wind during the morning, though
becoming mostly cloudy into the afternoon hours. Temperatures
have reached the low-60s with visibility surprisingly good at
70 miles despite seasonal pollen hanging in the air.

Yesterday’s drought monitor was updated and stats indicate
an improved situation. Much of eastern MA is now drought
free. While the deficit at Blue Hill is just shy of 3 inches,
it does not constitute “abnormally dry” conditions.

The high so far today is 61F, this is 3 degrees below the
normal high of 64F. The low since midnight is 45F, which
is equal to the daily normal low of 45F.
