MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

A FAIR WEATHER DAY WITH LIGHT AND
VARIABLE WINDS ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

We measured a trace of snow and 0.02 inches
of liquid from yesterday’s light snow following
the 7 A.M. observation. The snow total for
February is 12.1 inches, 1.8 inches under the
normal total for the month. The snow total so
far this season is 24.5 inches, which is 22.5
inches below normal.

Today we observed light and variable winds,
and a notably low max gust of 12 mph since 7 A.M.
The overcast seen this morning broke up around 8
A.M., revealing a distant cirrostratus layer along
the horizon. Snow depth has decreased from 2 to 1
inches since this morning due to constant sunlight
before and following the 10 A.M. observation.

The high temperature so far today is 36F, 4 degrees
below the normal daily maximum of 40F. The low since
midnight is 17F, 5 degrees below the normal minimum
of 22F.
