DRY AIR AND SUN RETURN AFTER AN OVERALL
RAINY WEEK ON TOP OF GREAT BLUE HILL….

Today we observed partly sunny skies with scattered
clouds at each observation. We also observed wind
speed pick up overnight and we had moderate wind
today from the WNW/NW. We have had frequent gust
today over 24 kts (28 MPH) and a peak gust so far
of 30 kts (35 MPH). Temperatures quickly rose today
but are still below seasonable. Since midnight we
observed an overnight low of 31F, which is 9 degrees
below the daily normal of 40F. Yesterday remained
well below seasonable with a high of 41F, 16 degrees
below the daily normal of 57F. Although still below
seasonable we reached a max today of 51F, this is
still 7 degrees below the daily normal of 58F.
Visibility increased as humidity lowered today and
we could see an excellent 80 miles by 1:00 P.M.
Overall we measured 0.22 ins. of liquid precipitation
and a trace of frozen precip. during yesterday’s
wintry showers.
