CLOUDY AND SEASONABLE FALL DAY WITH NOTICEABLE LACK OF WIND…

Clouds have dominated the skies today, with a stratocumulus
overcast this morning giving way to an altocumulus overcast
by the afternoon, with some breaks. Some towering cumulus
clouds have been visible in the distance all day, most
noticeably to our east.

Temperatures have increased slowly throughout the day, starting
the morning around 50F and climbing to the low 60s by the
afternoon. The dew point has remained nearly steady in the
upper 40s.

Perhaps most notable today has been the lack of wind, with
more than one hour already coming in as calm. The average
speed so far is only 5mph. The peak gust thus far was 13mph,
occurring just after 1am.

Visibility has been slightly reduced compared to yesterday,
beginning the morning at 70 miles and falling to 60 miles.

The maximum temperature so far today has been 61F, which is 1
degree above the normal high of 60F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 49F, which is 6 degrees above the normal low
of 43F.
