STEADY RAIN DEVELOPS OVERNIGHT AND INTO THIS MORNING,
0.62 INCHES BY THE 1:00 PM EST OBSERVATION

Light and intermittent rain began yesterday afternoon after
3:00 PM EST, eventually picking up in intensity by 8:00 PM.
By this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation 0.41 inches of
new rain had been recorded thus far for a storm total
with steady light to moderate rain falling through the
night into the morning. By the 10:00 AM EST observation 0.13
inches of additional rain had been recorded.

Winds were strong and gusty this morning from the NE, with
the RM Young anemometer recording a peak gust of 43 MPH. The
ASOS system recorded a gust of 44 MPH from the NE and Davis
41 from the ENE just after 4:00 AM EST this morning.

By the 1:00 PM EST observation light rain had transitioned
to light drizzle with fog that was slowly lifting. An additional
0.08 inches of rain and drizzle had accumulated by this time
as well.
