DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

AN ALMOST CLEAR DAY WITH A COLD NORTHWESTERLY
WIND….

Today we observed a visibility increase following an
almost 20 millibar rise in pressure overnight. The
visibility of 65 miles this morning rose to 85 miles
by 1 P.M. Pressure continued to trend upward, leaving
the sky with little to mention as far as cloud cover. A
stiff 20 mph wind has persisted from the northwest,
keeping temperatures cold despite abundant sunshine.

The high temperature so far today is 26F, 8 degrees below
the daily normal maximum of 34F. The low since midnight
is 16F, which is a degree below the normal low of 17F.
