SKIES ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

Today we experienced thick fog, significant wind,
and mostly cloudy skies. The morning started off
foggy with a maximum visibility of 3 miles, decreasing
to a 1/2 mile by the 10 A.M. observation. By 1 P.M.,
the visibility increased to 75 miles. Wind reached 55
MPH, occurring around noontime.

Despite significant cold air advection from the
northwest, the temperature was still above seasonal
averages. The high so far today is 41 degrees, this
is 8 degrees above the normal high of 33 degrees.
The low since midnight is 33 degrees, this is 18
degrees above the normal low of 15 degrees.
