BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

SUNDAY, JULY 11, 2021
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
SUNRISE: 0418E
SUNSET:  1921E

AN UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING DAY WITH SKIES BECOMING ALMOST
OVERCAST IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS….

Today we observed mostly cloudy skies with a limited visibility of
30 miles. Humidity remains a factor, staying in the mid 60’s.
The view from the top of the tower is restricted by haze, leading
the observer to believe today is not a good air quality day.

A good mix of clouds were seen today. There was a mix of building
cumulus, patchy altocumulus, and a nice layer of cirrostratus
(beautiful fish-scale looking clouds).

The high so far today is 79F, 3 degrees below the daily average
of 82F. The low so far today is 61F, 3 degrees below the daily
average of 64F.
