INCREASINGLY CLOUDY AND WINDY WITH STILL
GOOD VISIBILITY….

We observed a few clouds this morning, increasing to an
overcast this afternoon. Wind is lighter in comparison
to yesterday, where we had a gust of 26 mph yesterday
morning. Wind today is 10 mph on average from the
northwest with a max gust around 20 mph.

The high today so far today is 57F, this is 5 degrees above
the normal high of 52F. The low since midnight is 41F, which
is 6 degrees above the daily normal low of 35F.

As many are aware, March tends to be a rather cloudy month
here in coastal Southern New England, however March 2021
was tied for the sunniest March on our record going back to
1886. We recorded 243.0 hours of sunshine this March, tying
with March 1915 for sunniest! Here is the current ranking
via our Chief Scientist Mike Iacono…

BHO Sunniest March, hours (1886-2021):

1) 243.0 in 1915  [68%]
   243.0 in 2021  [68%]
3) 236.7 in 1946  [66%]
4) 230.1 in 1978  [64%]
5) 215.0 in 2006  [60%]
