MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS, UNSEASONABLY CHILLY…

Yesterday’s storm produced 1.20 inches of much needed
precipitation. However, the annual deficit still remains
in the red at -3.10 inches. As the low-pressure exited
in the afternoon, a brief period of sleet passed through.
This served as a good forecast for today as we are seeing
well below average temperatures and cold air aloft yielding
considerable diurnal cloudiness. Not ideal weather for
spectators at Opening Day at Fenway Park, but at least
it is dry and an improvement from yesterday!

Winds have relaxed since yesterday’s peak of 44 MPH. We
are seeing an average of about 10 MPH thus far.

The high today so far today is 37F, this is 13 degrees below
the normal high of 50F. The low since midnight is 24F, which
is 9 degrees below the daily normal low of 33F.
