SUNNY AND MUCH MILDER TODAY WITH A BRISK WEST WIND…

A snow shower moved through late last evening along the leading
edge of a warmer air mass moving into the region. The
warm front itself moved through pre-dawn this morning with a
couple of rain showers. Warm air advection has been occurring
since with temperatures rising rapidly through the morning.

A freshening west wind is helping temperatures to over-achieve
thanks to downsloping. We have reached the mid 50s here on the
hill as of early this afternoon.

Visibility has been restricted to around 30-35 miles due to
hazy conditions.

We have certainly entered another dry stretch, with no
measurable precipitation occurring in the last 8 days. Total
precipitation for the month to date is only 0.13″, which is
now 1.26″ below normal. The departure for the year has reached
1.68″ below normal.

The high so far today is 55F, 13 degrees above the daily
normal max of 42F. The low since midnight is 30F, 6 degrees
above the daily average low of 24F.
