BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

STARTING JUNE ON A COOL, BREEZY, BUT DRY NOTE….

A mix of sun and clouds have been the theme today with
a cool northwest breeze and very dry air. Dew points
have been in the upper 20s to low 30s which is pretty
impressive for early June standards. The dry air has
enhanced the chill in the air.

As a result of the polar air mass, visibility has been
phenomenal averaging 80-90 miles!

Temperatures for the day have been below normal with a
high so far only 63 degrees, this is 8 degrees below the
daily normal high of 71F. The low since midnight is 42F,
which is 11 degrees below the daily normal low of 53F.
