DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

MUCH QUIETER CONDITIONS TODAY FOLLOWING THE LONG
DURATION STORM…

First a recap of our storm.. for the 24 hours ending at
7 AM this morning, 3.1″ of snow was recorded, bringing the
storm total snowfall to 13.1″. 0.26″ of liquid equivalent
was measured for the 24 hours ending at 7 A.M., bringing
the storm total to 2.43″. The peak gust during the storm
was 52 mph out of the NE at 12:42 PM on Monday.

Despite the storm being long gone now, we still can’t seem
to find the sun. Overcast skies have been the theme today
with cold temperatures. Winds have been light all day, so
despite the cold air, it doesn’t really feel that bad out.

Visibility started out around 60 miles early this morning,
but has been dropping off as the day progressed. By 1 PM,
it was down to only 30 miles. It has become increasingly
hazy as the dew point has risen.

The high so far today is 33F, which is 10 degrees below the
daily normal maximum of 43F. The low since midnight is 22F,
which is 6 degrees below the normal minimum of 28F.
