CLEAR AND CALM TODAY WITH CLOUDS ON THE INCREASE
FOLLOWING A GUSTY THURSDAY

Thursday’s average wind speed of 23.5 MPH (uncorrected) was
well above all our station’s average of 14.9 MPH, with gusts
exceeding 40 MPH numerous times throughout the morning and
early afternoon. A peak of 52 MPH from the NW was observed
at 11:57 AM EST.

This morning has largely featured very high cirrus fibratus
growing denser along with some cirrostratus forming by late
morning ahead of tomorrow’s anticipated rain.

By 1:00 PM EST today a maximum of 62F had been reached
under a thin overcast of cirrus fibratus with a few dense
cirrus in all directions.
