DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

AN UNSEASONABLY CHILLY DAY WITH RAIN AND FOG
FOLLOWING YESTERDAY’S BRILLIANT SUNSHINE…

After a bright and tranquil Thursday, today has
seen a return to overcast skies, fog and light rain.
Visibility has maxed out so far at 15 miles
slipping to just a 1/2 mile by 1 PM. Overnight
precipitation totaled 0.15 ins with an additional
0.08 ins through the morning and into this afternoon.
Winds have been somewhat light with most gusts in
the 20 MPH range.

Some interesting notes in the temperature department:
April has been below average – currently sitting at
-2.2 degrees for the month to date. Consequently, this
is the first month of 2020 to feature a below average
month. Also of interest is that the high so far today is

far) ties for the 4th lowest high temperature on
record for April 24th. We will see if we can add a few
degrees before the stroke of midnight. Nonetheless,
very unseasonably chilly today.

Our high temperature so far today is 41F, which is 18
degrees below our daily normal high temperature of 59F.
The low since midnight is 37F, which is 4 degrees below
