Cool Start to June 2022 Compared to Last June

The first nine days of June 2022 at the Observatory featured daily maximum and daily mean temperatures that were all colder than the first nine days of June 2021 as shown in the table. Most of the daily high and average temperatures were more than ten degrees colder than last year. Early June 2021 featured a very warm five-day period from the 5th to the 9th with high temperatures from the upper 80’s to the lower 90’s, while the temperature during same period this year did not exceed 80 degrees. The trend began to change on June 10th, when both the high and mean temperature this month was warmer than the same date in 2021.
