Since February 1, 1885, someone has climbed to the summit of Blue Hill every single day to take a weather observation — through blizzards, war, and every ordinary Tuesday in between. That unbroken chain now stretches back over 140 years, making it one of the longest continuous weather records in North America. Adopt a Week lets you become part of that record. Choose a week that means something to you — the week you were born, the week you got married, the week your child arrived — and sponsor the observations taken during it. Your gift helps sustain the daily work of measuring, recording, and preserving this irreplaceable climate archive for the next 140 years. In return, you'll receive a personalized certificate with the official weekly observation summary marking your week, and your name will join others on our new donor wall — a living record of the people who help keep the tradition going.
