BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2020 ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME A SHARP TURN AROUND FROM YESTERDAY... Much improved since yesterday's dreary weather. Clear†skies dominated for much of the morning yielding to†scattered fair weather cumulus in the afternoon.†This is allowing for plentiful sunshine - nice to see†our sun card is finally burning once again after a 2-day†hiatus ;-) We opened the day with a visibility of 45 miles increasing to 75 miles by the early afternoon compliments of a cold front that swept through the region around noontime ushering in a drying westerly wind- yesterday's dew point capped out around 72 degrees! At the latest observation, 61 was the calculated dew point and falling. It looks like the air will continue to dry out as we head deeper into the day priming us for a very comfortable and splendid Labor Day weekend! Enjoy it! The high so far today is 82F, 6 degrees above the daily† normal max of 76F. The low since midnight is 67F, which is 8 degrees above the normal low of 59F.† Today's Observations: 7 A.M.
