BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

DREARY WEATHER CONTINUES…

Different day, but same story as yesterday with overcast skies,
rain, drizzle, and fog. 0.50″ of rain was measured for the 24 hour
period ending at 7 A.M. this morning. An additional 0.10″ has been
recorded in the 6 hours ending at 1 P.M.

The observatory has spent the day in the clouds, as such visibility
has been extremely poor, stuck under 1/2 mile all day.

Also of note is the light wind, we actually had a 2.5 hour period
early this morning of calm winds, not something that happens too
commonly here on the hill. The peak wind so far today has only been
around 12 mph!

The high so far today is 41F, which is 8 degrees below the daily
normal maximum of 49F. The low since midnight is 36F, which is 3
degrees above the normal minimum of 33F.
