BLUE HILL METEOROLOGICAL OBSERVATORY
MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

COOL AND CLOUDY FOLLOWING SOME MORNING RAIN….

We observed limited visibility throughout the day
due to a decreasing fog; 5 miles this morning and
40 miles this afternoon. Some rain was seen immediately
following the 7 A.M. observation, leaving .1 inches in
the gauge at 10 A.M. Skies remained overcast, and a sea
breeze around 15 mph persisted. This contributed to
temperatures well below seasonal averages.

The high so far today is 63F, 10 degrees below the
daily normal of 73F.
The low since midnight is 57F, a degree above the
average minimum of 56 degrees.
