MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

WARM AND DRY WITH INCREASING VISIBILITY
ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

We observed mostly clear skies with increasing visibility
throughout the day. A distant haze has been decreasing since
this morning in conjunction with the humidity. Humidity
decreased from 93% to 50% as the day went on. Visibility
improved from 30 miles to 60 miles at the 1 P.M. observation.
Wind is southwesterly, with a max gust so far of 21 mph so
far today.

Dry conditions continue to prevail approaching the end of the
month, with the monthly total of 1.27 inches being 2.30 inches
below normal amounts. The early turning or falling of leaves
may be due in part to these very dry weather conditions as of
late.

The high so far today has been 78F, which is 11 degrees above
the normal high of 67F. The low since midnight was 55F,
which is 5 degrees above our daily normal minimum of 50F.
