GRADUALLY CLEARING CONDITIONS FOLLOWING
LAST NIGHT’S RAIN….

Fog that limited visibility to a 1/2 mile this
morning dissipated quickly, leading to a nice
day with abundant sunshine in the afternoon.
Average visibility following the 7 A.M. observation
was 75 miles. Wind has been northwesterly, increasing
as the day went on. The peak gust so far is 25 mph,
occurring after 3 P.M. Despite last night’s rainfall
amounting to 0.81 inches, Blue Hill is still -1.88
inches below normal for the month of August.
The high so far today is 80F, 3 degrees above
the daily normal maximum of 77F. The low since
midnight is 64F, 4 degrees above the average
daily minimum of 60F.
