DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2019
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

COLD DAY WITH PARTIAL CLOUD COVER AND DROPPING
HUMIDITY…

Although warmer than the past few days, today remained cold
with a high so far of 29F and a low so far of 7F. Throughout
the day, about 3/8ths of the sky was obscured by high level
clouds until the 1:00 P.M. observation where about 6/8ths
of the sky was blocked by both cirrostratus and altocumulus
clouds. A distant haze made visibility slightly less than
perfect, however, decent visibility persisted through each
observation at about 70 miles. Wind was steady at around 10
knots this morning, but increased to between 15 and 20 knots
by the early afternoon. Humidity has dropped drastically
throughout the day, from 78% at the 7:00 A.M. observation to
38% by the 1:00 P.M. observation.
