ELEVATION 635 FEET, 10 MILES SSW OF BOSTON, MA

DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

CLEAR SEASONAL DAY ATOP GREAT BLUE HILL….

Sustained northwesterly winds throughout the past 36 hours
have allowed temperatures to return to seasonal readings.  At
the time of the 1 P.M. observation, the daily max, min, and average
appear to be on pace to approximately meet seasonal norms. In
spite of these conditions, the month of December is still shaping up to
be a relatively warm one, with our current cumulative departure
sitting at +24 degrees with only 5 days remaining.  Visibility
has been good today, with distances of 80 miles looking out, and with
skies totally clear overhead throughout today’s observation period.
Rising pressure appears to have crested around the time of the
10 A.M. observation.
