DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

ANOTHER WARMER THAN NORMAL DAY ON TOP OF GREAT
BLUE HILL…

Today was another hazy hot and humid day on top of
Great Blue Hill. So far by 1:00 P.M. we had a max
temperature of 87F. This is 12 degrees above the daily
normal high of 75F. We observed a record breaking high daily
low temperature yesterday of 70F, which is 2 degrees
warmer than the previous record of 68F set in 1937 and
1959. So far we have not had any precipitation in the
month of September for below seasonable rainfall and above
seasonable temperatures. Visibility increased today from
1/16th mile, caused by fog in the area, to 40 miles by 1:00
P.M., but a distant haze lingered in the area throughout
the day.
