DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2018
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES REMAIN IN THE AREA…

Today was another hazy hot and humid day on top of
Great Blue Hill. So far by 1:00 P.M. we had a max
temperature of 88F. This is 12 degrees above the daily
normal of 76F. If temperatures do not go below 73F by
midnight this will be a record breaking high minimum
temperature. The previous record of 68F was originally
set back in 1937 and 1959. Today wind was light and
variable. The wind began the day coming from the WNW
and then settled on the E/ENE later in the day.
So far we have not had any precipitation in the month
of September for below normal rainfall and above normal
temperatures.
Visibility increased today from 45 to 60 miles by
10:00 A.M. but a distant haze lingering in the area
throughout the day.
