DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY

ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

ANOTHER MOSTLY CLOUDY DAY WITH MODERATE WIND AND
DRY SKIES…

The day began with a temperature inversion. The made
the mountains and other local structures appear close
than during normal conditions. Yesterday afternoon the
wind was close to calm at times with a few 1 MPH hours.
Wind became moderate again today and continues from the
NE, which has cooled temperatures dramatically since
since Thursday’s record-tying 92F, which is 24 degrees
higher than today’s max temperature so far by 1:00 P.M.
of 68F. This also is 6 degrees below the daily normal of
74F. The low since midnight is 60F which is only 3 degrees
above the daily normal of 57F. Dew points dropped down to
51F by 1:00 P.M. for drier air. Visibility remained at
80 miles all day with a mirage making the mountains appear
closer. The sky was mostly cloudy with stratocumulus,
altocumulus, and altostratus today but skies remained by
the 1:00 P.M. observation.
