TEMPERATURES RISE WELL ABOVE NORMAL ON TOP OF GREAT
BLUE HILL…

Temperatures continue to be above normal today with an
overnight low of 68F. This is 9 degrees above the daily
normal of 59F. Although this is well above normal is it
not record breaking. The daily record high minimum
temperature of 74F was set back in 1921. The maximum high
temperature today so far by 1:00 P.M. is 91F this is 15
degrees above the daily normal of 76F. The daily record
high maximum temperature is 95 set back in 1929. Wind from
the southwest was moderate in the early morning hours with
a couple gust of 18 kts (21 MPH), but became lighter after
7:00 A.M. High pressure remains in the area but it began to
drop after 10:00 A.M. this morning and continued to drop
into the afternoon. Visibility was obscured today due to
fog in the morning the haze with a max of 40 miles. Dew
points rose to an oppressive 72F by 10:00 A.M. for a hazy
hot and humid day.
